How can we help?
Plain answers to the most common questions. In Spanish and English. If you cannot find what you need, call 520-281-1550.
I am thinking about hurting myself. What do I do right now?
Call or text 988 right now. It is free, confidential, available in English and Spanish, 24 hours a day. If you are in immediate physical danger, call 911. You can also tap the floating mic in the app and say "I need help right now"; the platform escalates to a real person.
My baby has not been moving as much. Should I worry?
After 28 weeks, decreased fetal movement after you have been feeling regular movement is a reason to call your provider the same day. Do a kick count: lie on your left side, time how long it takes to feel ten distinct movements. Less than ten in two hours is a call to your team.
What are the postpartum warning signs I should know?
Per the CDC: heavy bleeding (soaking a pad in less than an hour), severe headache plus vision changes, chest pain or trouble breathing, fever above 100.4°F, foul-smelling discharge, a leg that is red, hot, and swollen, thoughts of harming yourself or your baby. Any one of these is a call to your provider, day or night.
How do I sign in?
On your phone or computer, open Materna Health Solutions and enter your email. We send a one-tap link by default. No password needed. If you prefer a password, you can set one in Settings after you sign in once.
I lost my phone. How do I get back in?
Use any other device with internet. Go to the sign-in page, enter your email, and tap the magic link in your email. If you had multi-factor authentication enabled and lost your authenticator, contact our support line at 520-281-1550.
Who can see my chart?
Your direct care team always sees your chart. Anyone else, including a partner or a cross-border provider, only sees what you explicitly turn on in Settings → Privacy. Sensitive areas like substance use and safety concerns at home default to off for partners.
Will my immigration status be shared?
No. Materna Health Solutions does not ask for or share immigration status. Most pregnancy Medicaid programs in the United States do not require documentation of status, and emergency Medicaid covers labor and delivery for everyone in the country.
How long do you keep my data?
Your medical records follow your state's retention rules, typically 10 years for adults and longer for pediatric records. You can request a full export at any time, or request deletion of non-medical data. The audit log of who accessed what is retained for 7 years per HIPAA.
How much does Materna Health Solutions cost a patient?
Nothing. Materna is free for patients, always. Provider tier and value-based-care arrangements pay for the platform. We never charge a patient.
Is the platform covered by my insurance?
The patient app is free regardless of insurance. The clinical care your team provides is billed to your plan. We accept AHCCCS, PA Medicaid, Medi-Cal, Texas Medicaid, BCBS, United, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Kaiser, and many others.
Is the platform available in Spanish?
Yes, fully. Every flow is in English and Spanish at parity. We pilot in Spanish first, then translate to English. The voice agent works in both languages, and switches automatically based on what you say.
I speak another language. Can you accommodate?
For visits, we arrange a certified medical interpreter at no cost to you, in any language. The app interface itself is currently in English and Spanish; we are expanding.
How does the voice agent work?
Tap the mic on any form, or the floating coral mic at the bottom right. Say what you want to log or ask. The agent shows you what it heard, and you confirm before saving. Anything that sounds like an emergency immediately surfaces 988 and 911.
Can I do everything by voice?
Most of it. You can log glucose, blood pressure, contractions, kicks, mood, and symptoms by voice. You can ask any question, schedule a reminder, view your care plan, or summarize a page. Some sensitive screens require a tap to confirm.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Open Appointments in the patient app. Tap "Request" and pick the type (prenatal, postpartum, lactation, mental health, specialist). Your coordinator sees the request and books with your team.
Can I message my doctor directly?
Yes. Open Messages and pick the person on your care team. Most replies arrive within one business day. For anything urgent, call the on-call line at 520-281-1550 or 911 for emergencies.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Materna Health Solutions is a web app. Open it in your browser. On your phone, you can save it to your home screen for one-tap access. It works offline for most read-only views.
It is loading slowly. What can I do?
Most of the app loads when you have any internet at all. Photos and video need a faster connection. If something is stuck, refresh the page once. If it is still stuck, open Help → Report an issue.
If you did not find what you needed, we answer.
We are here, in your language. No scripts, real people.
